Took the money out of the IRA rollover to be put into a Annitity.
I’m 50 and have $250k of investment funds that I was thinking of putting into a deferred variable annuity. This is money that I don’t expect to need until retirement. Assuming I don’t get ripped off fee-wise, are things generally considered to be a good investment vehicle for someone who maxes our 401-k and IRA and is looking at reitrement in 15 years? If so, are some of the bells and whistles such as death benefit and gteed values generally considered to be worth it?

Obviously I know an individual can buy a deferred annuity, but can you buy one with business funds–either as an S-corp or sole proprietorship– if you’re interested in deferring some of your income for later?

My mother has a large sum of money in a Flexible Premium Deferred variable annuity, Is there any way that she can get a lump sum of tha money to reinvest into a smaller home and pay off some of her debt? She is ready to claim bankrupsy!! Is there any other options for her?
