I wonder how other people feel about having a personal finance consultant to manage their wealth. How many have the service? How long they stay with the same consultant? Are people satisified with their consultant? Thank you.

What would be a good retirement package for a small 20 room german hotel?
My dad has been friends with the owners of a hotel in Germany for 20 years. The owners are an old couple whose daughter is not interested in taking over the business. I don’t have the money to buy the building, but I have heard a retirement package works, I give them a percentage of the profits. So what would be a fair retirement package? They don’t pay morgage on it and they don’t have internet, or anything high tech, just a tv in most of the rooms and breakfast served in the morning.

What would be a good investment strategy for me?
I’m 28 years old, I make a little over 200K a year and i have over 300K in liquid cash in separate bank accounts. I don’t know what to invest in because the market is garbage. My goal is to have a million by the time I’m 35 and I hope that with solid investments and some possible continued growth in income, I can accomplish this. Can someone give me some good investment strategies?
Is a financial planning position good for a college student majoring in accounting?
I’m planning to become a CPA. Currently, I’m in college (1.5yrs left) and work part-time as an accounts payable. Recently I was asked to come work at a CPA firm as an assistant in financial planning. The pay and hours are really good compared to my current job.
However, I’m not sure if learning the new things in the financial planning position will stress me out. It’s all very new to me. Even though I’m not a brainiac, I am a very hard worker. But is that enough? I just don’t want this job to take away too much time away from school. I’ll be taking very difficult accounting courses.
I was wondering if I should stay at my current job OR take the new job and learn new things. Will this work experience look better on my resume? If i dont take this job, then will there be lots of other opportunities like this after I graduate? Will this get my foot in the door of the CPA world even though I won’t be doing any accounting work?
EVERY bit of suggestions would be greatly appreciated

3rd question– How much money a month is good to invest if we already have annuity and pension.?
My husband is a ironworker and whatever company my husband is working for at the time is required to put money in a annuity for his retirement. I dont know how much but I do know he has been working there for two and a half years going on three. And there is appx. $23,000 it is sitting in a low risk acct. Should we move it up more to invest it better?
He also has a pension of appx. 3-5 thousand dollars a month when he retires.
Should we be investing more of our own money I mean I know that is our money but we really dont see it.
Thank YOU!!!
no that is 23k into the account for the past 2.5yrs so every year at least 10k will be added to the annuity acct. until he retires which will be in 30 yrs. because he is 25yrs old ironworkers can retire at 55
My boyfriend’s mother wants him to cash a settlement check in his name, not hers. Is this a good idea?
His mother is currently on social security disability, and she is worried that if the check is cashed in her name, it will effect her medicare benefits. She fell in a school and is now receiving a settlement payment for her injury. I’m not sure if this is a good idea, since I fear he may have to pay taxes on the sum if it is cashed in his name. She is telling him that the settlement is “tax-free”, but I don’t believe it.
What is a good mutual fund to put my money in?
I’m a 24 year old recently graduated from college and got a job.. I want to start saving up and while the money is not being used for anything, I though I might as well put it to work. So what is a good mutual fund to put my money in?
I plan on investing up to $5k this year in a tax deferred vehicle. What is a good option?
IRA with mutual funds, tax deferred annuities? I heard tax deferred annuities are not protected by the govt if the company becomes insolvent and the tax consequences to your heirs if you die are higher. Any advice?
